The Metro District allocation of Douglas County property taxes is 78.869 mills. The first 63.869 mills is allocated for developer bond debt service (Debt Fund) while the remaining 15 mills is allocated for infrastructure maintenance (General & Capital Funds) such as our private road system repairs, bridge repair, snow removal, weed control, trail maintenance, open space landscape maintenance as well as administrative expenses such as insurance, election, accounting/audit, legal, contingency/emergency funds, and management services.
