The Metro District allocation of Douglas County property taxes is 78.869 mills. The first 62.119 mills is allocated for developer bond debt service (Debt Fund) while the remaining 16.750 mills is allocated for infrastructure maintenance (General Fund) such as our private road system repairs, bridge repair, snow removal, weed control, trail maintenance, open space landscape maintenance as well as administrative expenses such as insurance, election, accounting/audit, legal, contingency/emergency funds, and management services.
